Rank decides everything · every figure verified

How the Indian MBBS system actually works.

The Indian MBBS route turns on three things: your rank, the evidence behind every option, and the timing of a long counselling season. Here is the system, plainly — with tools built on real closing ranks and fees read from official documents.

The whole journey

NEET to seat, in four moves.

After NEET-UG, government seats split into 15% All India Quota (run by the MCC) and 85% state quota (run by each state authority, usually requiring domicile). Deemed and private universities additionally run management and NRI quotas.

  1. 01

    Qualify NEET-UG

The single national entrance for every MBBS seat, conducted by the NTA — score, percentile and All India Rank.

  2. 02

    Enter counselling

15% All India Quota (run centrally by the MCC) and 85% state quota (run by each state authority) — separate calendars.

  3. 03

    Pick a seat type

Government, deemed, private, management or NRI — each with its own eligibility, quota and fee reality.

  4. 04

    Know the fees

Government seats are among the lowest globally; private and deemed run far higher — verified figures, not brochure numbers.

The number nobody markets

The funnel every aspirant enters.

From 22 lakh who sat the exam to under 62,000 rank-won government seats — the narrowing is steep, and we say it before you choose, not after. Roughly one MBBS seat for every ten qualifiers.
